February 25 - Conspicuous

A couple of years ago in a huge storm, a bulk carrier broke anchor near the harbour and beached itself at Newcastle. It became a rather conspicuous tourist attraction until the next high tide when it was eventually pulled free of the sandbank. There is now a street named after it! I couldn't resist being one of the 'tourists' that stopped my car along the beach drive to quickly take a photo. My kids were "So embarrassed" ;) but the light was nice and we live a few hours' drive away, so it's not like I could go back the next day...

  7. FANTASTIC shot!
Don't worry about your kids being embarrassed by you.....eventually they'll learn you can do WAY MORE embarrassing things if they want a REAL reason and they'll stop whinging about the 'little' stuff!
