a 366 photo challenge for 2012 - I have joined the friendly crowd at Elements Village on the web and have decided to start at 'A' and follow the 366 themes daily - I like the idea that I will need to take (or make) images that will stretch my skills and imagination - and if I throw in a few extras just for fun - forgive me - OK? Trying to stay focused for a whole year will be a challenge in itself - wish me luck and come and visit anytime...

February 21 - Colours
In contrast to the B&W play this morning, some of my favourite birds in full colour - rainbow lorikeet sitting at his nest-hollow in the afternoon sun at Lightning Ridge and rainbow bee-eaters in a tree near the river behind our house.

The Lorrikeets are a dime a dozen around here, but wonderful chat mates. The bee-eater is such a wonderful capture. Great Shot!
ReplyDeleteI just love your bird photos and their colours are amazing.
ReplyDeleteCan't see too much of your birds! The DOF and the sharpness of the bee-eaters is just wonderful!
ReplyDeleteLove the crisp focus and shallow DoF.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors...I am now jealous of you too...I want these birds in my neck of the woods! :)
ReplyDeleteTo me, those are Exotic Birds--and they are glorious. I especially like the top photo. It's perfectly composed and shpws off the unique features of the little critter.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Colors! Woah!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots...great colour
ReplyDeleteFabulous! The top shot especially, it looks to be quite small.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful birds, well captured too.
