February 26 - Contrast

We have been away for a week, so it's catch-up time! Contrast is the word of the day and I love the contrast of this red lock on the black chain-link fence. It is popular in Europe for newlyweds to put a lock onto a prominent fence and throw away the key - Makes me wonder - if it isn't 'forever' do they come back and cut the lock away?? I have noticed a couple of these in Australia recently - maybe the practise is starting here as well...

  1. Full frame or aptly cropped this is VERY nicely done with the diagonal look.
BTW it hasn't caught on here as yet but it sure is a cute idea

    1. This was full frame - I like to get in close and always have to remind myself to also step back and get the 'big picture' as well as the detail :)

  2. Great composition...I think this practice is peculiar to continental Europe cos I've never seen one in the UK...
