a 366 photo challenge for 2012 - I have joined the friendly crowd at Elements Village on the web and have decided to start at 'A' and follow the 366 themes daily - I like the idea that I will need to take (or make) images that will stretch my skills and imagination - and if I throw in a few extras just for fun - forgive me - OK? Trying to stay focused for a whole year will be a challenge in itself - wish me luck and come and visit anytime...

March 8th - Debris
Still trying to catch up from our week away - so I decided to use two of the images from our walks for this theme - one from a beach walk - a tyre and a burnt log washed up on the beach together makes for an interesting juxtaposition of man's debris and nature's - while on a forest walk in the mountains, the image is a contrast, but similar, showing a fallen artifact of the mining heritage of this place, among the leaves that litter the forest floor

Nice juxtapositions between human and natural debris, looks like the woods will eat the mining thing, tires seem to last forever.
ReplyDeleteThe botoom shot is just rubbish, but who wouldn't love to know the story of that tyre.
ReplyDeleteBoth show off fabulous textures...and I love the moss in the bottom image!
ReplyDeleteGreat finds...I particularly like the tyre and tree shot...great juxtaposition
ReplyDeletetwo super photos, a story behind the wheel, I wonder how far it travelled to hook itself around a water logged and beached and burnt tree trunk, the size of those screws is amazing and I like your man and nature's debris comment, poetic
ReplyDeleteLove the textures and juxtaposition of the tire and log.
ReplyDeleteLove the photos. First photo is even more amazing to me since I know that the driftwood is much heavier than it looks.

Natures debris is always easier to accept than man's debris. Glad you post both pics.
