a 366 photo challenge for 2012 - I have joined the friendly crowd at Elements Village on the web and have decided to start at 'A' and follow the 366 themes daily - I like the idea that I will need to take (or make) images that will stretch my skills and imagination - and if I throw in a few extras just for fun - forgive me - OK? Trying to stay focused for a whole year will be a challenge in itself - wish me luck and come and visit anytime...

March 25th - Edible
These tubs of fruit in the farmers' market drew my eye for the colours. I have experimented with processing today, just for a challenge and because I have finally caught up with my daily posts. The fruit has a pastel drawing effect with PS filters, not as effective in the small images as when they are enlarged. I think it suits the subject.

Agree, the rough scratchy texture fits naturally with the fruit. There are so many fun techniques to experiment with....have you checked out the links at EV? If not, you may want to check these out http://www.elementsvillage.com/forums/showthread.php?t=61765 . Also http://www.elementsvillage.com/forums/showthread.php?t=63684
ReplyDeleteI like the effects you created.
ReplyDeletei really love the first image...you are so right, it looks much better enlarged!
ReplyDeleteThat effect does work very well with these images of fruit--it adds texture and visual interest to a scene that is had been rather uniform.
ReplyDeleteI like the effect...I've never found an image yet that suited this effect but I think you have found it
ReplyDeleteThe effect worked very well with the apples! Just love playing with processing!
ReplyDeletethese are exceptional, I have already said today that I need to 'get with the program' and try new things...
