"This year’s close is neither an end nor a beginning but a going on, with all the wisdom that experience can instill in us." a message from my mum on facebook today starts the year - and reminds me that life continues and we take our joys and love and tears and hopes and dreams into the new year with us.
To start the year, my beautiful daughter wrote a song for me and arrived to sing it - she lights up my life :-) so I will start the year with a photo of her.
Today's image word though is 'abandoned' so I will go back to an image I took just a couple of days ago at an old farm shed - abandoned by the children that used to use them, cricket bats and golf clubs are slowly rotting and rusting.
