January 09 - Alone

A photo of a fisherman at Umina beach on the Central Coast of NSW just a couple of weeks ago seems to fit the word for today...

  1. For those overseas the placename is pronounced Youmina, and maybe the other fishermen know that that area is fished out, LOL

  2. I would love to be alone there any day...I can almost smell the sea air! Beautiful!

  3. All the sea to himself...I like the contrast of the stones against the soft sea.

  4. Thanks, he is sitting on the walls of an old sea-pool, so you can see the aggregate blocks on the sand. I liked the contrast of nature and man-made. You can see the people on the beach and the houses across the bay, but he is sitting in his own world, fishing peacefully (apart from me, wandering around on the rock shelves nearby) He was there for a few hours, caught enough for a meal or two and then left as the tide came higher.
