This walking track near the town of Wentworth Falls had been damaged in a recent fire. The ferns are making a comeback - such a vivid green against the blackened ground - and even the boardwalk section here has been burnt at the edges. With some of the boards recently replaced and some still missing, there is still repair work to do, but the track was an interesting walk for an hour or so, despite the rain.
Nice images....love the second one
ReplyDeleteLoL Public health and safety people wouldn't allow that, where are the safety rails and wheelchair access ramps. Good to see the rejuvenation though. Aussie bush thrives on fire!
ReplyDeleteIt actually reminded me of Iceland, where your health and safety is your own responsibility and safety rails don't exist. This wasn't up to the usual standard of boardwalks, but as a nature trail was very interesting, following the river, with lots of wildflowers, birds and the occasional crayfish to spot.
DeleteLike the top one for getting a sense of the place but especially like the depth and focus of the bottom image.
ReplyDeleteLove how the path leads us through the image...great texture too!
ReplyDeletewonderful walkway both with the wood and the curves. the closeup swhows th ewood great
ReplyDeleteI love the darkened wood boardwalk leading through the image against the green of the ferns.
ReplyDeletegreat shots this could also have beeb taken on the West coast of B.C. Canada, the second one for sure,
ReplyDeleteThe lush new growth is a great contrast to the charred wood. I love shots that lead one down a path, both of these are so appealing
ReplyDeleteThe 2nd image really shows off the contrasts - just beautiful.
