a 366 photo challenge for 2012 - I have joined the friendly crowd at Elements Village on the web and have decided to start at 'A' and follow the 366 themes daily - I like the idea that I will need to take (or make) images that will stretch my skills and imagination - and if I throw in a few extras just for fun - forgive me - OK? Trying to stay focused for a whole year will be a challenge in itself - wish me luck and come and visit anytime...

January 29 - Boy
This portrait of my nephew's son was taken on impulse as he stood against one of the shed doors on my sister-in-law's farm. No posing, he was just waiting there for his grandfather and it just looked right.

Great shot...great facial expression
ReplyDeleteAnguish of youth, it says to me, I guess Grandpa had a treat in store!
ReplyDeleteBoy I'll say it looked right. That's a keeper for sure.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot =)
ReplyDeleteLove the contrast of his soft complexion against the texture of the barn.......you certainly captured a pensive moment.
ReplyDeletePerfect portrait of youth.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot Iris. Lovely lighting and how you managed to make him stand still is beyond me...lol...
ReplyDeleteM.
I just turned around and grabbed the moment, I love the texture of the old door and the contemplative look on his face - minutes before this he was jumping mud puddles in the paddock.
Delete"Hurry up grandpa"...I love that patient look!
ReplyDeleteIt is just right--a young boy caught in a moment of contemplation.
ReplyDeleteThis is fantastic, I hope it is printed large.
ReplyDeleteLove this photo of a gorgeous young boy. A definite keeper!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photo...the expression, color palette and composition work together to make it so. The feeling is almost reminiscent of the old days when a boy had to go out to the wood shed to get his "whooping" as a result of misbehavior!!
