so - decided that the alarm clock was boring but a watch that had been resting on a 'weather' book came up nicely - used the photoshop halftone pattern filter to make it a softer, sepia style image then desaturated a little more - I liked the image from the book's cover of a cyclonic cloud formation and how it repeats the circular face of the watch - anyway that's about the best I can offer this morning.
a 366 photo challenge for 2012 - I have joined the friendly crowd at Elements Village on the web and have decided to start at 'A' and follow the 366 themes daily - I like the idea that I will need to take (or make) images that will stretch my skills and imagination - and if I throw in a few extras just for fun - forgive me - OK? Trying to stay focused for a whole year will be a challenge in itself - wish me luck and come and visit anytime...

BTW - no idea why the watch has the wrong date, but couldn't be bothered working out how to change it - sorry!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the way you photographed and processed the analog watch.
ReplyDeletelol I'd say you did better this morning with no sleep than I do on most day lol LOVE the processing and you composed this perfectly...managed to make an everyday sight exciting!
ReplyDeleteBefuddlement is the normal state for Challenge Participants. LOL
ReplyDeleteWait till there is only the ones you have put off till the end of the year - That's tough
I'm doing them one by one Ron, so I am at the mercy of the words as they come. I figure it will make me think - and stretch my photography a little.
ReplyDeleteAside from the image, I appreciate your thought process and details as to how you came up with your results. Nicely processed!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the watch is actually in the surf--reminds me of the old Timex commercials, which works well with the sepia toning.
ReplyDeleteYou did a very nice job with a tough theme. I like the entry.
ReplyDeleteVery nice work Rose....I too have been wondering about this theme...guess I'll have to think of something else now for fear of being labelled a plagurist (sic)
ReplyDeleteoh no - plagiarise away, I'm sure you would think of something creative to do with the watch or clock!!!
ReplyDeletedreamy looking, lol get some sleep!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea. I was thinking along the same lines late one night, but could not find my watch.
ReplyDeleteThis pic came out really well. Good thinking!
